Tuscany is the home of Amedei, an Italian chocolate maker founded by a brother and sister team in 1990. Alessio and Cecilia Tessieri had no prior experience in chocolate making prior to starting Amedei, but they were committed to making their venture one that would make their grandmother proud. In fact, the company is named for this precious lady. Amedei is known for promoting not only the highest quality gourmet chocolate, but also the culture of chocolate tasting. Perhaps their most beloved product is their Amedei Porcelana, a very rich chocolate made from cacao found in a very exclusive part of Venezuela.
