Original Beans is a unique chocolate maker with a mission of planting and replanting rain forests. In fact, that mission is what led to its birth in 2008. With a passion for both environmental protection and chocolate, company founders decided making chocolate would be a great way to fund their mission of protecting the environment. To that end, every Original Beans chocolate bar includes a certificate with a tracking number specific to the beans used to make it. Consumers can enter that tracking number on the company's website to see the ongoing progress of sustainability efforts in the region. As for their chocolate, Original Beans makes four types of bars using cacao from Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, and the Congo.
